As a manufacturer or operator of installations for the food-processing or pharmaceutical industry, you must consider the ideal lubrication of the many electric motors used in the facility. These motors are often supplied by the OEM with standard industrial electric motor grease and standard recommended relubrication intervals. So far, you as manufacturer or operator only had the option to go for a standard electric motor bearing grease which is not food-grade or to choose a food-grade alternative which is often not ideally suited for the tough requirements of electric motor bearings, e.g. wrong viscosity or too high oil separation.
Not anymore! It is precisely for these requirements that we have developed Klüberfood NH1 72-132 based on a synthetic ester oil and polyurea. It is miscible with standard industrial electric motor greases, provides improved relubrication intervals and a high wear protection. Klüberfood NH1 72-132 was designed for operating temperatures up to 160 °C and even at short-term peaks up to 180 °C where relubrication takes place at appropriate intervals.
Klüberfood NH1 72-132 can support you substantially in the optimisation of your processes. It is registered as NSF H1 and therefore complies with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The lubricant was developed for incidental but unintentional contact with products and packages in the food-processing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or animal feed industries. We deliberately designed this product without mineral oil in order to minimise the risk of MOSH and MOAH contamination.
We nevertheless recommend conducting an additional risk analysis, e.g. HACCP.
